American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring telemetry and NIH Stroke Scale certification on night shifts.

• Progressive Care Unit serving adult Neuro/Stroke patients with telemetry capability
• 28-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs for telemetry patients
• Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend coverage required, up to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
• Holiday coverage required based on department needs

• Active RN license (Standard/Compact or OK) currently in hand
• 2+ years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and communicate patient condition as needed
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs
• Use personal protective equipment per standard precautions
• Facility radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
