American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Level I trauma center unit requiring at least 2 years of experience and a compact or OK RN license.

• 29-bed medical surgical unit caring for patients of all ages, some with telemetry orders
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Unit supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs for telemetry patients
• Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00
• Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
• Holiday coverage required if department has a need

• Active RN license (Compact or OK) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Level I trauma center experience
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

• Provide direct nursing care including implementation and monitoring of patient care plans
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and communicate patient condition changes
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Work in a Level I trauma center setting serving patients of all ages
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
