American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a CVICU night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and a valid OK or compact RN license.
Requirements- Valid OK or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central/PICC line care
- Experienced in care of ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, and chest tube assistance
- Proficient in CVVHD/CRRT and management of acute/chronic renal failure
- Experienced in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation monitoring
- Skilled in CVA/acute stroke management and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with Impella and sheath removal required
- Proficient in IV insulin protocols and management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of a surgical intensive care setting
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)
- Every other weekend required
- May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed with brief unit orientation
- Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients including monitoring, medication management, and emergency response
- Navy scrub color required
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius to be considered for this travel position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
