Duties

• Conduct comprehensive triage assessments for pediatric patients presenting with a variety of acute and chronic conditions using established protocols.
• Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to determine appropriate next steps for each child’s needs.
• Educate families on health management strategies, medication administration, injury prevention, and follow-up care tailored to pediatric needs.
• Perform vital signs measurement, physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, and assessment of physiological status in children of all ages.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the triage process.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current Oklahoma registration
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric triage
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems; familiarity with ICD-10 coding is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and team members.
