American Traveler is seeking an RN Infection Prevention professional for a 13-week assignment requiring CIC certification and acute-care hospital infection prevention experience.
Requirements- Active RN license (OK or compact) currently in hand
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Previous acute-care hospital Infection Prevention experience required
- Strong working knowledge of CDC/NHSN surveillance definitions and reporting requirements
- Ability to independently perform surveillance, medical record review, and NHSN reporting
- Experience with Surgical Site Infection (SSI) surveillance, case review, and NHSN reporting
- Experience with High-Level Disinfection (HLD) practices, assessments, and infection prevention oversight
- Experience with HAI surveillance including CLABSI, CAUTI,
C. difficile/LabID, and MRSA bacteremia - Eligible professional backgrounds include RN, MPH, Microbiology, or RT
- Acute care hospital setting within the Infection Control department
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Apply NHSN definitions to complex clinical cases
- Identify infection prevention risks and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with procedural areas, nursing, physicians, Quality, Sterile Processing, and other clinical stakeholders
- Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate that varies by location
