Member Frontline Cashier

Overview

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr this range is provided by Walmart. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

The member frontline cashier associates are the heart of our front end. You may be the first, last, or only associate our members interact with. You will smile, greet, and thank members, run registers, and support the self-checkout experience. The pace can be fast, especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during holiday seasons. You may juggle several tasks while helping members: scanning items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean area.

You will make an impact by maintaining a positive attitude, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a member-ready area.

• Maintain safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures, conduct safety sweeps, follow forklift spotting procedures, and handle hazardous materials per company guidelines; report unsafe situations to facility management.
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchases, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and answering questions; guide members on self-service technology; process purchases and transactions at registers or self-checkout; organize merchandise.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards; apply Open Door Policy in daily work.
• Complete work assignments by using policies and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; prioritize tasks and communicate progress; identify opportunities for improvement and adapt to change.

• Customer service experience; retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register); experience with mobile retail applications.
