You'll work directly with the CEO to drive our 30% month-over-month growth, manage our sales pipeline, and help transform how teachers grade — saving them thousands of hours while improving student outcomes.
About the CompanyCoGrader is an AI-powered grading assistant that puts AI in the hands of teachers, saving them up to 80% of time spent grading while delivering personalized feedback to students. We're backed by UC Berkeley and Maze Impact, and our impact is growing rapidly — we've already helped grade over 2 million assignments. Our 30% monthly growth is completely organic, fueled by strong product‑market fit and word‑of‑mouth from satisfied teachers.

- Drive our inbound sales pipeline from lead to close
- Run our sales playbook for bottom‑up approaches
- Build strategies to turn teacher champions into school‑wide adoptions
- Schedule and lead demos with teachers and school administrators
- Build our sales playbook for top‑down approaches
- Contact schools and districts where teachers use CoGrader’s free version
- Generate admin leads top down
- Create marketing & sales assets
- Manage our CRM and sales tools
- Hit quarterly revenue targets
- Drive renewals, reviewing price, and cross‑selling
- Expand within existing accounts to add more schools
- Build referral programs to leverage happy customers
- Increase usage in schools, through successful training and customer onboarding, leading to teacher/user retention
- Collect and synthesize customer feedback to inform product development
- 2+ years selling K12 SaaS literacy products to Directors of Curriculum, proven sales numbers (quotas)
- Fluent in English
- Excited about transforming education with AI
- 2–6+ years in (K12 SaaS) sales
- Track record of exceeding targets
Highly organized and process‑oriented - Proactive and thrive with autonomy
- Exceptional communication skills
- GenAI power user
- Scrappy, driven, and comfortable selling in ambiguity with high autonomy
- Looking for a founding team role with equity and major career upside
- Many years selling to US K12 Directors of Curriculum or similar OR you’re an experienced adaptable salesperson who’s worked in SaaS and/or across industries
- Based in South Africa OR US expat
- Background as an English teacher or admin (eg principal, curriculum director)
- Previously worked at K12 SaaS companies
Compensation: US $35k base + uncapped commission
