Kleinfelder’s Environmental team is looking for a dedicated Wetland Specialist to assist on transportation, energy, and commercial projects. The role will involve field assessments, permitting, mitigation planning, and regulatory compliance.

• Conduct field delineations of Waters of the U.S. (including wetlands) based on USACE standards.
• Perform habitat assessments for threatened and endangered species.
• Plan stream and wetland mitigation strategies.
• Monitor mitigation sites.
• Prepare Section 404 permits and related documentation.
• Develop and write various reports and NEPA documentation.
• Support environmental site assessments and regulatory compliance activities.
• Assist with business development and proposal development.

• B.S. in Environmental, Biological, Ecological Sciences or related field.
• 4–8+ years of environmental fieldwork and reporting experience.
• Strong background in plant and wildlife identification, soil evaluation, hydrology, GPS use, mitigation planning, and permit preparation.
• Ability to work year‑round in adverse field conditions.
• Excellent writing, communication, and attention to detail.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and client‑specific requirements.

Travel is required (typically short‑term). The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, and eager to contribute to diverse project types.
