B+T Group is seeking a Senior Tower Technician based out of the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. This person is responsible for completing on-site field work associated with each wireless construction project and for providing guidance and on-site supervision to tower technicians.
1. Preparation – Oversee and participate in the preparation of equipment and materials for each project so the on-site work can be completed properly, safely and efficiently.
2. Field Work – Oversee and participate in the completion of field work in accordance with client work orders, including measuring structural elements and appurtenances, installing feed lines and antennae, testing telecommunications equipment, and constructing modifications to towers.
3. Documentation – Record information associated with field work activities and provide related reports after completing work on the site.
4. Mentor – Guide and instruct Tower Technicians on proper techniques to ensure that field work is completed properly, safely and efficiently.
5. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Requirements Knowledge/Skill/Ability- Physical Ability – Ability to climb to and work from heights above 100 feet while bearing the weight of more than 30 lbs. of equipment and being exposed to all types of weather
- Communication Skills – Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver concise, understandable reports.
- Computer Skills – Proficiency in the use of personal computers, spreadsheet and word processing programs
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tower Technician
- Related experience in the tower construction industry preferred
- DOT Physical required
Work is physically demanding, requires conformance to tight deadlines, occasional overtime, travel, and exposure to weather elements.
