Bobcat is a full service Bobcat Dealership. We specialize in new, used, and rental compact excavators, skid steer loaders, and track loaders. We offer parts as well as both mobile and shop service, and a full line of concrete supplies.
White Star Machinery is seeking a Field Service Technician! This role will be responsible for providing quality repair services on Bobcat equipment in order to meet customer needs. This includes performing basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer‑owned construction equipment. We offer in‑house training.
Work ScheduleMonday – Friday dayshift
CompensationHourly Rate, plus quarterly bonus.
Responsibilities- Perform inspections required to determine the cause of failure following established guidelines and identify the cause.
- Responsible for the effective repair of machine components in the field, at high levels of quality.
- Recondition and repair equipment and components.
- Plan method and sequence for performing assigned repairs.
- Pre‑order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.
- Perform the repairs in a safe and effective manner.
- Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned and that cosmetic appearance meets standards.
- Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
- Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs.
- Ensure all records are legible and in compliance with established methods.
- Report all record keeping daily from the field, even when not returning daily to the company.
- Maintain shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required, and encourage others to do so.
- All communications with customers and co‑workers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect and integrity.
- 3‑5 years working as an equipment technician.
- Ability to work independently with no direct supervision in a field environment.
- Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians.
- Spanish speaking is valued.
- A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
- Prior experience as a field service technician is preferred.
- Clean driving history.
