Travel Technician – Low Voltage Installations (Contract)
SummaryWe are accepting applications for Travel Technicians to work at various locations across the United States. This is a 100% travel role installing low voltage wiring and equipment such as IP cameras, wireless access points, routers, switches, etc. Qualified candidates should expect to be on the road anywhere from 2–8 months at a time. We seek a self‑starter who can work well with a partner 6 days a week.
Responsibilities- Pull and terminate low voltage cable.
- Install network equipment within commercial settings.
- Follow instructions and code when pulling cable.
- Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
- Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
- Install cable support structures such as J‑hooks, cable racks, and inner duct.
- Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
- Troubleshoot issues with the cable network.
- Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.

Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a Data Cable Technician.
- Available for extensive travel nationwide.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more multiple times per shift.
- Ability to work in cramped spaces.
- Hours of project 7 pm – 7 am, 5 days a week.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Lowell, AR for new‑hire orientation.
- 100 % travel of the USA.
- Ability to operate a scissor lift; ability to work at heights.
- Able to fill out the work order and take care of the tools provided by the office.
- Abide by PPE requirements. Company provides hard hat, vest, and safety glasses; must provide own steel‑toed boots.
- Tools required: hand tools, screwdrivers (standard and Phillips), snips, punch down (impact), toner and probe, pliers, adjustable wrenches, joint pliers, and lineman pliers.
- Valid driver’s license with clean record; no DUI or DWI in last three years.
