** Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Facilities Technician.  The position will be responsible for basic upkeep and cleaning of the facility.  This will be a 1st shift position - Monday thru Friday, 5 am. to 3:30pm with over time as required.
** This will be a first shift position from 5:00am to 3:30pm. Monday thru Friday some weekends as required.
**** What you will be doing:
*** Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of building and grounds, including carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
* Basic repairs, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
* Provides facilities and maintenance labor and technical support to all areas of the site structure, equipment and grounds.
* Works with manufacturing and process engineering utilizing blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.
* Support facility/production daily scheduled and non-scheduled work order related activities.
* Concrete repair and polishing of manufacturing floors as required
* Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.
* Other duties as instructed by Supervisor.
** The skills and experience you need:
*** High school diploma/GED preferred.
* 2 years of light industrial electrical experience required
* 2 years of plumbing/sewer experience required
* Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with all company policies.
* Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.
* Must be able to do physical labor and operate power equipment, such as forklifts and boom lifts.
* Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
* Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
* Must be able to professionally work with outside vendors.
* Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.
* Strong attention to detail and capacity to take direction.
* Must have their own tools.
* Ability to routinely lift up 50 pounds.
* Ability to work independently as well as with a Team.
* Ability to work overtime as required.
