The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance throughout the facility, maintaining and repairing shop equipment and CNC machines, handling shop waste and inventory, and supporting production personnel as needed to help ensure efficient shop operations.

Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and machinery. Maintain and repair shop equipment and CNC machines. Repair or replace defective equipment using hand and power tools. Reassemble equipment after repairs are completed. Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain required maintenance schedules. Inspect and maintain lifting equipment in accordance with EH&S requirements. Inspect and maintain motors, belts, bearings, wear surfaces, fluid levels, and other equipment components.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine appropriate solutions. Assemble, install, and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Record maintenance work orders and completed maintenance activities. Handle shop waste and inventory responsibilities. Work closely with facilities and manufacturing teams to support priority maintenance needs. Assist shop personnel as needed to support daily operations.

Experience Requirements:
Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices. Previous manufacturing experience. Mechanically inclined with prior machine knowledge. Ability to read and understand blueprints, elementary diagrams, ladder diagrams, pneumatic prints, and hydraulic prints.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. General knowledge of welding and manual machining equipment. Prior CNC repair experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer proficiency, including work order systems, email, and repair documentation. Ability to stand for extended periods in a factory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred. Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial. Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Maintenance Technician.
