Commercial Refrigeration Technician

Job Description

The Commercial Refrigeration Technician will install, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers and freezers, supermarket refrigeration systems, food service refrigeration equipment, and reach-in cases and display units. This role supports reliable system performance through preventive maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and safe refrigerant handling.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units and systems.
• Diagnose refrigeration system performance and operating issues.
• Repair commercial refrigeration equipment and components.
• Handle refrigerants safely and perform refrigerant recovery.
• Service walk-in coolers and freezers, supermarket refrigeration systems, food service refrigeration equipment, and reach-in cases and display units.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration service.
• Knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems and HVAC electrical systems.
• Experience with refrigerant recovery and system diagnostics.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with brazing and welding.
• Knowledge of HVAC control systems.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
