Modus Drivers provide safe, reliable transportation for Modus Drive clients to medical and social service appointments;
Providing a welcoming experience for all Modus clients; and, Ensuring the behavior modeled as a Modus team member is congruent with the agency’s mission and values.

Our transportation program provides safe, reliable rides so individuals and families can get to their appointments safely, consistently, on time, and with dignity. Our trusted Modus Drivers don’t just provide a lift—they offer a lifeline. With every mile, we’re breaking down barriers and opening doors to health, education, opportunity, and hope.
Modus is the only nonprofit in the nation that exists solely to provide access to the social services provided by nonprofit organizations, remove obstacles for folks who experience transportation vulnerability, and reduce transportation costs for nonprofit organizations.
- Compensation: $15 per hour
- Shifts available:
Monday-Friday; morning (7:00am-1:00pm) afternoon (1:00pm-7:00pm) - AAA Membership provided by Modus
Position Summary:
Client Transportation Specialists demonstrate the highest levels of customer service and acceptance for all clients, visitors and staff to assure that the behavior modeled as a Modus leader is congruent with the agency mission and values.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing safe, reliable transportation for Modus Drive clients to medical and social service appointments;
Providing a welcoming experience for all Modus clients; and ensuring the behavior modeled as a Modus team member is congruent with the agency’s mission and values.
- Proven experience working with underserved populations is preferred
- Proven experience working in the non-profit sector is a plus
- Capability to provide a level of comfortable and inclusive service to all Modus clients
- Demonstrates exceptional capability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance
- Proficient in basic computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and internet usage
- Proficient in learning and operating new technology
- Demonstrates capability to conduct oneself in a calm and professional demeanor when dealing with the public and/or with difficult situations
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of clients, staff and volunteers
- Willingness to adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the job
- Ability to effectively manage a wide array of tasks, projects, and responsibilities
- Ability to work productively in an unstructured environment with a team, where frequent interruptions may occur
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a clean vehicle in good working condition
- Must have proof of vehicle registration
