Engineering Manager

We're building the next generation of our analytics platform to give casino executives across North America a unified view of their operations. Instead of building “yet another reporting tool”, we're digging deep with customers to uncover the fundamental business questions they need answered—providing the clarity and confidence to drive real operational impact. We need your technical leadership to make this happen.

As Engineering Manager
, you’ll manage a small and growing team of highly-skilled, experienced builders, while staying close to the code and architecture. You'll establish patterns, champion best practices, and create an environment where engineers do their best work.

Becoming our new Engineering Manager is not about fixing problems; it’s about scaling and improving what already works. You’ll be leading a team that knows how to ship, and working alongside dedicated partners in everything from product design to technical strategy. Your role is to amplify what the team already does well while helping us deliver a product that genuinely improves how casinos operate.

• Lead a small, focused team through 1:1s, performance coaching, and career development conversations
• Stay hands‑on with code—React, Type Script, Python, Terraform—while guiding architectural decisions and reviewing PRs
• Build and refine delivery practices that keep the team moving efficiently without unnecessary process
• Partner with Product and Design to translate vision into technical solutions, making thoughtful tradeoffs along the way
• Oversee our AWS infrastructure and data architecture, ensuring we're building for scale and reliability
• Remove obstacles, clarify priorities, and maintain momentum across development cycles
• Communicate technical decisions clearly to both engineering peers and business stakeholders
• Foster a culture where engineers feel ownership, share knowledge, and continuously improve

• 3+ years leading engineering teams with a track record of developing people and shipping quality software
• Production experience with a broad array of AWS services (RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Glue, Athena, Event Bridge, Cloud Watch)
• Comfort writing and reviewing React/Type Script frontends and Python backends
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)
• Understanding of data architecture—lakes, warehouses, streaming, batch processing
• Familiarity with modern deployment practices: CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability
• Ability to balance competing concerns—speed vs. quality, features vs. tech debt, ideal vs. pragmatic
• Clear communication skills in writing and conversation
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and creating structure where it's needed

• Analytics or BI product experience (dashboards, reporting, visualization tools)
• Data engineering background with ETL/ELT, Snowflake, Redshift, Spark, or Airflow
• Monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, New Relic, or product analytics platforms
• Genuine interest in user experience and how technical decisions impact usability
• Experience scaling teams—hiring, onboarding, organizational design
• Casino, hospitality, or gaming industry knowledge
