Position Summary

Under the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the Driver will be responsible for operating a box truck, flat‑bed truck, van with enclosed trailer or standalone van for loading and delivery of products to/from the plant to the warehouse in a manner consistent with all safety, quality, and operational work instructions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Safely operate the vehicle on each trip and follow all applicable laws and company policy.
• Maintain records for vehicle maintenance and upkeep.
• Interact daily with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
• Communicate using a cellular telephone with operations and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, follow signals from loading crew, place safety wheel chocks, and back equipment into buildings or loading docks as required.
• Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment daily.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard.

Other Duties

• Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.

Minimum

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Utility trailer experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to work in unregulated temperatures during warmer and colder months (mild to moderate).
• Basic computer skills.
• English reading, writing, and verbal skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or within a group.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer's instruction manuals.
• Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner and perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
• Effective adaptation to change and readiness to thrive in a stimulating, fast‑paced work environment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

Completion of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for tractor–trailer operation is a plus but not required for this position.

Physical Demands

Bending, walking, standing, pushing and pulling carts, sitting; lifting 30–50 pounds; reaching above shoulder, squatting, or kneeling.

Work Environment

Rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually low to moderate.
