The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for label control, yard coordination, and administrative functions that support the outbound (Shipping and Picking) operation. The role involves communicating issues to outbound supervisors, utilizing the Y/WMS system, handling paperwork, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. Must have Excel experience and be computer literate.

• Label Control
  • Prepare, distribute, and reprint all labels for carton/pallet pickers daily.
  • Maintain a clear label flow to enable safe, accurate, and productive picking.
  • Track and document all labels given out.
• Yard Coordination
  • Use Y/WMS to communicate outbound pulls and plugs to yard drivers.
  • Assist supervisor to ensure trailers are chocked and green light is active before loading.
• Administrative Functions
  • Complete computer data entry required for shipments.
  • Issue seals to loaders and verify accurate information for Bills of Lading.
  • Schedule LTL carriers and print work assignments.
  • File outbound paperwork and assist supervisors with downtime sheets.
• Safety, Sanitation, Security
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area and assist with warehouse security.
  • Secure seals and sensitive documents when not in use.
  • Promote safe operations in accordance with OSHA and MSDS.
• Other Duties
  • Use powered equipment, RF scanners, computers and printers safely.
  • Follow company policies, guidelines, and ISO procedures.
  • Work in varied environmental conditions and perform heavy lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive motions (walking, standing, bending, etc.) as required.
  • Work overtime as dictated by business needs.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of inventory control or warehousing administrative experience.
• Intermediate computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.

• 1–2 years’ experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

• Bending, walking, standing (frequently).
• Sitting (constant).
• Ability to lift 11–20 pounds, reach above shoulder, squat or kneel.

The employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles; noise level usually low to moderate.
