Steel Yard Hand / General Laborer

Tulsa, OK. Starting Pay: $16.00–$16.50 per hour, depending on experience. Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (1-hour lunch break).

We are hiring a dependable and hardworking Steel Yard Hand / General Laborer to join a busy steel distribution facility in Tulsa, OK. This is a hands‑on, physically active position that involves loading and unloading steel materials, preparing customer orders, organizing inventory, and keeping the yard running safely and efficiently.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in a job well done, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Candidates with experience in general labor, construction, warehouses, lumberyards, or industrial environments are encouraged to apply. This position offers an opportunity for long‑term employment with a structured pay progression up to $18.00 per hour.

• Load and unload steel products and building materials
• Pull, organize, and stage materials for customer orders and deliveries
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory organization
• Move and position materials throughout the yard
• Assist customers and team members with loading and unloading
• Keep the steel yard clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling heavy materials and working around industrial equipment
• Perform general labor and yard maintenance duties as assigned
• Work as part of a team to meet daily operational goals

• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

• Previous general labor, warehouse, construction, or industrial experience
• Experience handling steel, lumber, or building materials
• Forklift or material‑handling equipment experience
• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, or inventory operations
