Application tester

· Strong experience in working with relational databases and backend testing using complex SQL queries;

· Strong hands on experience with test management tool, HP ALM/Quality Center;

· Strong experience in developing, documenting and executing effective test cases for testing large complex systems;

· Proven skills in analyzing and documenting complex business processes and workflows;

· Strong expertise in test planning and test case design methodologies;

· Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle processes and development methodologies;

· In depth knowledge of the QA testing principles and strategies;

· Strong experience in manual testing, developing test plans and writing test cases;

· Experience in logging and tracking defects using IBM Rational Clear Quest;

· Experience in working with version control systems such as SVN, VSS or TFS;

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team, work closely with business, testing and development teams;

· Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, communication and interpersonal skills; and

· Exceptional time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
