• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and offers according to company policy.
• Adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sale items, and pricing discrepancies.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons, and stay current with advertising and promotions.
• Comply with food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering product questions.
• Follow all legal and company guidelines, working cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally, act with honesty and integrity, and seek assistance when needed.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)

• Experience in customer service or as a Bagger/Courtesy Clerk
