- 2‑year apprenticeship program (22 months), including an intensive classroom training period.
- Hybrid telework options after classroom training (around 11 months).
- A personal coach/mentor assigned to you.
- Alignment with a team of experienced Claim Managers.
- Medical, legal and vocational professionals to assist you.
- Journey‑level certification upon successful completion.
- $4,586.00 monthly (87% of 50G) – beginning salary for non‑bilingual positions
- $4,744.00 monthly (90% of 50G) – after six months
- $4,902.00 monthly (93% of 50G) – after ten months
- $5,271.00 monthly (100% of 50G) – after 22 months, Journey Level
- 5% annual increase after completion of the apprenticeship program, up to $6,107.00.
- Spanish Bilingual jobs include a 5% salary increase for dual‑language responsibilities.
- Permanent state employees entering the program at or above 50G receive 100% 50G ($5,271).
- Employees entering between 87% and 99% of 50G retain their current salary until they progress through apprenticeship standards.
- All others begin at 87% of 50G until progression.
- Adjudicate and manage workers' compensation claims, authorizing or denying medical, vocational and monetary benefits while ensuring statutory time limits are met.
- Work under close supervision with quality and accuracy checked by senior Staff.
- Maintain a high volume of phone calls in a customer‑focused environment.
- Perform research, interpret facts and apply policies, rules and laws fairly and objectively.
- Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
- Be on time and work 40 hours per week.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus).
- Ability to learn quickly, stay organized and work well under pressure.
- Calm handling of adversarial situations with good judgment.
- Typing speed minimum 40 words per minute; 5‑minute typing test required.
- Minimum one year of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
