POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager is responsible for the organization's sales growth through goals set by the CEO and President. This will include writing plans to achieve these goals and adhering to the required ethical standards.
KEY
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage Sales Growth:
Build & manage sales growth through agents, Manufacturer’s Rep Groups, distribution network, and buying group network. Annual sales target set with CEO & President and tracked on a monthly basis.
Brand Management:
Improve brand awareness in designated target markets using measurable analytics
Market Research:
Research markets for discovering new opportunities or building on existing business.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
o Strong communication skills to build relationships quickly and easily
o Flexibility to adapt to new or changing situations.
o Ability to show assertiveness and direct management when necessary to accomplish goals through agents, reps, distribution network

o Training personnel and helping agents develop their skills
• Technical skills:
o Understanding the process nature of business/sales development
o See problems from the customers’ perspective and adapt accordingly
o Proficient skills with Excel for creating forecasts, project analysis, return on investment, NPV analysis, etc.

• Business skills:
o Develop objectives required to achieve organizational goals
o Business acumen when considering growth options
o Create and modify the budget to accomplish company goals and objectives
o Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
