Senior Mechanical Design Engineer About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of custom automated machinery and tooling. This role spans prototypes to full-scale production systems, integrating mechanical, robotics, sensors, and motion components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver efficient, high-quality automation solutions in a growing industrial environment.

• Lead design of custom machinery, tooling, and automation systems.

• Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings following GD&T and manufacturing standards.

• Integrate mechanical systems with robotics, sensors, and vision technologies.

• Support prototyping, production builds, and commissioning.

• Mentor engineers and review technical work.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for components.

• Collaborate with clients to define project requirements.

• Ensure designs meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• 8+ years in mechanical design for automation or machinery.

• Proficiency in Solid Works or equivalent CAD software.

• Strong knowledge of GD&T, materials, fabrication, and mechanical systems.

• Experience with automation components: actuators, sensors, motion systems.

• Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• US Citizenship required; eligible for security clearance.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience in industrial automation or small-to-medium manufacturing.

• PE or PMP certification preferred.

• Familiarity with pneumatic/hydraulic systems and manufacturing integration.
