Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in clinic and acute care settings while adhering to established standards and protocols. This position provides patient education, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures clinical competence through continuing education. The Nurse Practitioner demonstrates leadership skills, works independently, exercises professional judgment, and maintains effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and families while ensuring high‑quality and cost‑efficient patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in the clinic setting and/or acute care setting according to the scope of practice; provides patient education and serves as a resource for community agencies.
• Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient status and care activities, including treatments, procedures, and medications prescribed.
• Participates in continuing education to maintain clinical competence and stay abreast of changes in medical management.

• Master's Degree in nursing with appropriate licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (Required).
• 1‑3 years of relevant work experience.
