Snapshot of Daily Duties
  • Routine and urgent follow‑up visits in the office.
  • Urgent and provider‑requested consults and new patient visits.
  • Hemorrhoid banding after training.
  • Communicate patient care activities to the physician (visit notes and test results).
  • Collaborate with physicians to manage acute and long‑term medical needs.
  • Order appropriate medication, laboratory, and diagnostic procedures.

  • Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
  • Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation.
  • Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
  • Perform a physical exam and record findings.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nursing license and the degree level required by each state to obtain NP license.
  • Graduate of an accredited program and board certified with prescriptive authority.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of billing services, and an understanding of the physician/NP/patient relationship.

  • Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program with certification by a national NP certification board.
  • Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
