Inside Sales Supervisor, Florida – WM

Supervises the Inside Account Executive / Sales team. The sales team consists of multiple Account Executives that manage inbound requests from customers as well as proactively reach out to existing customers to maintain relations, along with procuring new business. Manages the Florida Market Area's account management program and assigns responsibilities to the appropriate Account Executives. Supervises and supports the Inside Retention team on an as‑needed basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work with the Florida Market Area to establish and refine sales and retention processes, including call flow, cancellation ticket procedures, communication protocols, and reporting.
- Establish and refine coaching and training protocols, including daily, weekly, and monthly training regimens for individual reps and the team.
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing development of the Account Executive team.
- Generate revenue by retaining existing customers and executing the area’s sales & marketing plan to achieve revenue goals, ensuring internal revenue growth through additional services and maintaining profitability on retained accounts.
- Maintain and reinforce the corporate sales strategy and design with the Retention Team.
- Handle escalated customer calls, including those requesting to speak with a supervisor or other team member.
- Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction on all transactions, and work with the Inside Sales Manager to resolve unique customer issues/concerns.
- Supervise activities of the Account Executive department, ensuring team members meet or exceed goals for cancellations, new sales, proactive retention, pricing, service upgrades, referral generation, and productivity.
- Forecast and recruit qualified candidates for available and/or upgraded inside sales positions.
- Maintain an ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring program to upgrade the skills of assigned sales personnel and develop opportunities for promotion.
- Establish and maintain an ongoing proactive account retention program, meeting customer retention goals.
- Work with the Inside Sales Manager to communicate and effectively manage the area’s price increase strategies.
- Effectively maintain and ensure the use of WM sales tools (e.g., Sales Force, MAS, pricing tools), training the entire sales team in their use.
- Analyze net new business trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide industry knowledge and interpretation of regulations to staff and customers.
- Participate in and take ownership of municipal account retention when required.
- Regularly meet with customer executives to ensure client needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Direct supervision of up to 7–8 full‑time Inside Account Executives.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration or similar, or High School Diploma/GED (accredited) with 5 years of relevant inside sales leadership experience. - Experience:
5 years of relevant inside sales leadership work experience. - Internal applicants must have demonstrated leadership qualities on their current team to be considered.
