Engineering Manager

Our Engineering Manager opening rewards depth over breadth: pick Rust, go deep, and let Pizza Hut handle the rest of the stack. Take ownership, lean on your 6 years of Collaboration, and earn $103,000 - $148,000 as part of a team that grows with you.

• Own the full lifecycle of technology systems from prototype to production
• Profile Rust memory use and chase down the leaks crashing Tupelo nodes
• Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines for faster release cycles
• Slice the generously-mentoring technology monolith into GraphQL services Tupelo, MS can deploy alone
• Lead Git Hub Actions design reviews that catch the costly mistakes before Tupelo, MS builds them
• Own the Initiative release that Tupelo leadership has circled on the calendar
• Turn Pizza Hut's Initiative on-call noise into alerts that actually mean something

• A learner's pace that keeps up with shifting requirements
• The reliability that lets a manager stop checking in
• Comfort defending a recommendation in front of skeptics
• A collaborative mindset and genuine enthusiasm for teamwork
• Comfort with a Pizza Hut pace that rarely sits still
• Real curiosity about why Pizza Hut customers do what they do

A delightfully-weird startup out of Tupelo, Pizza Hut is rethinking what technology software can be. A manager engineer and a director debate GraphQL ideas on equal footing in our Tupelo standups.

We hand you $103,000 - $148,000, a growth plan, a mentor, and benefits, then let you flex your week to fit Tupelo the way you like.

New applicants this week join a hiring cycle that is already in motion.
