Automotive CMF Designer

BYD Milan Design Studio is seeking Junior/Senior/Chief Automotive CMF Designers to integrate Italian & European premium CMF aesthetics into BYD's global automotive design. As the core link between styling design and mass production, you will create unique CMF solutions and build BYD's exclusive CMF design DNA.

General Requirements (All levels):

Fluent in English (written and spoken);
Bachelor's or higher degree in Industrial/Material/Textile/Fashion Design;
Mandatory professional CMF design portfolio;
Sensitivity to luxury & CMF trends;
Ability to work in a muticultural international team.

Level-specific Focus & Responsibilities:
Junior Level
-Core focus:
Creative CMF exploration + design support;

- Skills:

Good aesthetic taste & color/material/texture sense;
Basic understanding of automotive material application & production processes;

-Responsibilities:
Complete CMF research/design tasks under senior guidance;
Organize and manage European material & craft resource libraries;

Senior Level
-Core focus:
Independent CMF project delivery + European resource integration;

- Skills:

Proven CMF experience (automotive/luxury/fashion);
Strong premium CMF trend judgement;
Ability to deliver production-ready CMF schemes;

-Responsibilities:
Independently develop premium CMF color palettes & material solutions;
Explore sustainable materials/craft applications;
Lead European CMF material resource integration;
Coordinate with global suppliers for material availabilty.

Chief Level
-Core focus:
Team building & management + global CMF strategy & supply chain coordination;

- Skills:

Extensive CMF leadership experience (top automotive/luxury brands, European experience preferred);
Deep insight into European materials/crafts;
Strong strategic innovation & cross-cultural management capabilities.

-Responsibilities: lead the studio's CMF strategy and innovation roadmap;
Build & manage an international CMF team and nurture talents;
Establish BYD's global premium CMF DNA;
Liaise with global design/engineering/supplier teams to drvie CMF design realization.
