Senior HW Design Engineer

Overview  Experteer Overview In this role you help design and validate hardware for power ICs, leading evaluation-board HW design and system-level integration. You will collaborate with Design, Applications and System Architecture teams to enable IC validation and customer evaluation boards. You’ll translate IC specs into hardware requirements and support from concept through production. This is an opportunity to influence Vishay’s hardware roadmap and contribute to power-management innovations ponsibilities   Lead testing and evaluation board hardware design from schematic to layout guidelines and component selection
Create evaluation board schematics for varied scopes and platforms (FPGA, stand-alone, etc.)
Perform bring-up, troubleshooting, and modifications of evaluation boards
Translate IC specifications into hardware requirements and model PCB parasitics for system simulations
Develop interface/adapter boards and communication dongles as needed
Support customers and internal teams with schematic/PCB guidance and issue resolution
Conduct bench validations on prototypes and report performance results to engineering teams
Create application notes and papers on PCB hardware design practices
Assist in system-level validations on key programs
Qualifications   7+ years in large PCB or hardware design
Experience in high-current multiphase power supply PCB layout
Strong proficiency with PCB CAD tools (Cadence Allegro, Altium)
Knowledge of power electronics (DC-DC, multiphase, VRMs, POLs) and high-speed digital or mixed-signal systems
Understanding of power conversion topologies (buck, buck-boost, boost, PMIC, VR)
Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and explain them clearly
Experience validating prototypes and bringing them to production
