Columbus (Polk Co., NC), Marion (McDowell Co., NC), Lincolnton (Lincoln Co., NC), Waynesville, (Haywood Co., NC), Charlotte (Mecklenburg), and Brevard (Transylvania Co., NC).Responsibilities Represent clients in various criminal law matters, including but not limited to domestic violence, assault, drug charges, juvenile crimes, white collar crimes, and misdemeanor offenses
Manage a caseload with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines are met and providing regular updates to clients
Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
Engage in negotiation and mediation efforts to resolve disputes amicably
Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure seamless case management
Participate in business development initiatives, including networking events and client meetings
Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and paralegals
Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school and an active member in good standing with a state bar association2-10 years of experience practicing law Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
Strong negotiation and mediation skills
Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload
Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and client confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centered focus
Experience in business development and networking activities is a plus
