Context of the Position
As part of our rapid international infrastructure expansion across Europe, JD Logistics is scaling its transportation and freight forwarding network in Italy. We are seeking a qualified Transport Manager to lead our Italian transport activities, ensuring total regulatory alignment, corporate registration readiness, and seamless freight management across the Lombardy region (Milan area).

The Mission & Core Scope
The Mission:  Oversee Italian transport operations, carrier management, import/export documentation, and statutory transport filings, driving operational efficiency while ensuring full compliance with Italian freight forwarding and transport laws.
The Scope:  You will serve as the core operational and legal lead for transport activities in Italy, coordinating carrier networks, managing documentation (CMR, customs, transport contracts), and interfacing with official company registers ( Registro Imprese ).

Statutory Qualification Paths (Candidates MUST meet at least ONE):
To qualify under Italian transport and freight forwarding requirements, candidates must fulfill at least one of the following criteria:
Educational Path:  Holds a 3-year vocational diploma in business/commerce, a 5-year high school diploma in business/accounting ( Diploma Técnico Commerciale ), or a University Degree in Law or Economics.  OR
Work Experience Path:  Demonstrates at least  2 years of verified relevant work experience  within a legally operating freight forwarding or transport business within the last 5 years (supported by formal employment history/certificates).  OR
Foreign Qualification Path:  Holds a recognized professional freight/transport qualification obtained abroad, supported by an official Decree of Recognition ( Decreto di Riconoscimento ) issued by the Italian Ministry.

Crucial Expectations & Preferred Profile
Digital Signature & Local Proximity:  Candidates holding an active Italian Digital Signature ( Firma Digitale ) and located in the  Milan / Lombardy area  will be strongly prioritized.
Corporate & Register Familiarity:  Experience interfacing with the Italian Chamber of Commerce ( Registro Imprese / DIRE / Com Unica ) and managing official company transport filings is highly advantageous.
Carrier & Freight Forwarding Management:  Proven track record in managing Italian freight forwarding practices, carrier procurement, linehaul routing, and import/export documentation.
Operational SLA Execution:  Maintain strict oversight of carrier transit times, transport risk management, and service quality standards.

Position Requirements

Experience:

Proven track record in Italian logistics, freight forwarding, or transport management (3PL/express courier experience preferred).
Language Proficiency:  Professional fluency in  Italian  is strongly required for local carrier and authority relations;  English  proficiency is required for international reporting. (Mandarin is a strong plus).
Systems & Administrative Tools:  Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS), transport documentation portals, and corporate filing software.
