Job Overview
We are looking for MS or PhD students interested in a 2026 internship in machine learning and allied fields. The internship involves inventing, designing, and implementing state‑of‑the‑art solutions for never‑before solved problems within Amazon Science.
Responsibilities

Own the design and development of end‑to‑end systems.
Write technical white papers, create roadmaps, and drive production‑level projects.
Collaborate with Amazon scientists and other interns to develop solutions and deploy them in production.
Design new algorithms, models, or other technical solutions.
Work with diverse cross‑functional teams to solve complex business problems.

Basic Qualifications

Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
Enrolled in a PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

Publications at top‑tier peer‑reviewed conferences or journals.
Experience designing experiments and statistical analysis of results.
Experience implementing algorithms using toolkits and self‑developed code.
Experience solving business problems through machine learning, data mining, and statistical algorithms.

Start dates are available throughout the year and durations range from 3‑6 months for full‑time internships. The role is available across multiple locations in the EMEA region (Austria, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, South Africa, UAE, and UK). These are not remote internships.
