Assistant Professor in Multimedia Informatics

Middle East Technical University (METU) Multimedia Informatics Department at the Graduate School of Informatics is searching for applicants for an Assistant Professorship (Doktor Öğretim Üyesi) in multimedia informatics-related areas (e.g., Computer Vision, Game Technologies, Audio Signal Processing, Virtual Reality, Machine Learning).

Candidates must hold a PhD in one of the fields in electrical and electronics engineering, computer science, or computer engineering. Other candidates can be considered if they have a strong international research record in Multimedia Informatics. Eligible candidates must be Turkish citizens.

Candidates must have a strong research record and journal publications in Multimedia Informatics. Duties include publishing high quality research, teaching two courses per term, advising MSc students in the department for thesis and graduation projects, advising PhD students provided there is a prior track record of MSc thesis supervision, participation in department’s activities and committees, seeking grant applications nationwide and internationally, and efforts to establish laboratories for research.
