Product Process Engineer

AKSA, a company of Akkök Holding, was founded in 1968 in Yalova. Becoming the world’s largest producer of acrylic fiber over the years, Aksa today serves approximately 300 customers in over 50 countries across 5 continents. Having a capacity of 350.000 tons per year, Aksa supplies raw materials for textiles and technical textiles in many diverse areas.

We are seeking a Product Process Engineer with experience in chemical engineering skills to join our Process Development Department.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in process development, process design, product processes or production processes
• Preferably experienced in process improvement, product industrialization or process optimization activities within manufacturing industries
• Knowledge of preparing PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balance calculations, equipment datasheets and instrument datasheets
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of statistical process control, root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools
• Able to work in coordination with production, quality, maintenance and R&D teams
• Awareness of occupational health and safety, environmental requirements and process safety standards
• Willing to work actively on the production site, with strong analytical thinking, result orientation and follow-up skills
• Strong communication and coordination skills, and a good team player
• Systematic and open-minded approach to problem solving and continuous learning

• Carrying out improvement and development studies related to process and/or product quality
• Defining process parameters during the industrialization of new products, following up trial productions and reporting the results
• Designing new process plants and equipment or modifying existing systems; preparing PFDs, heat and mass balance calculations, P&IDs, equipment datasheets and instrument datasheets within this scope
• Leading improvement projects to increase efficiency and capacity, and to reduce quality losses in production processes
• Ensuring that existing plants and new designs comply with process safety standards
• Preparing and updating operating conditions, process parameters, production instructions and technical documentation
• Performing root cause analysis for complex and routine process problems, developing solution proposals and following up the implementation of actions
• Conducting statistical process control studies and monitoring process performance indicators
• Carrying out product/process improvement activities in coordination with R&D, production, quality and maintenance teams
• Supporting the start-up and commissioning of new plants, production lines or equipment
• Performing plant tests, process trials and performance measurements
• Regularly reporting the results of studies through technical reports and KPI indicators
