Composite Test & Laboratory Engineer​/Senior Engineer

What you need to know about this position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in composite materials testing, characterization, or laboratory-related roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience in mechanical testing of composite materials in accordance with ASTM & ISO standards.
• Experience in customer qualification and validation processes is preferred.
• Experience in or exposure to NADCAP accreditation processes is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of composite material characterization for mechanical testing, including tensile, compression, flexural, and interlaminar properties, as well as data interpretation.
• Experience with thermal and thermo‑mechanical analysis techniques (DMA, DSC, TGA) is an asset.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 laboratory quality systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and a proactive working style.
• Ability to take ownership and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally and manage external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
• Residing or willing to reside in Yalova or Karamürsel.

• Perform mechanical and analytical testing of composite materials in accordance with international standards.
• Support and coordinate customer‑driven qualification and validation test programs.
• Contribute to NADCAP accreditation activities, including audit preparation and documentation support.
• Manage and coordinate testing activities with accredited external laboratories, including test planning, sample submission, and follow‑up.
• Review and evaluate test results from external service providers, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and technical requirements.
• Perform detailed analysis and engineering assessment of test data, identifying trends, deviations, and potential root causes.
• Prepare and consolidate comprehensive technical reports, including clear interpretation of results, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Act as a technical reviewer/approver for internal and external test reports where required.
• Analyze and interpret internal test results, providing technical insights and recommendations.
• Support R&D and production teams in material characterization and process validation activities.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory quality systems and documentation (including ISO 17025 where applicable).
• Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and performance verification of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and reporting of all laboratory activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best practices within the laboratory.
• Ensure compliance with safety and HSE standards.
