Environmental Inspector​/EHS Officer

We ARE looking for a Environmental Inspector / EHS Officer Freelancer for one of our clients in Italy.

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and company policies.
• Conduct environmental assessments, audits, and inspections of works, equipment, and processes.
• Prepare and maintain environmental documentation, reports, and incident records.
• Advise the project team on environmental risks, control measures, and best practices.
• Oversee waste management, emissions control, and pollution prevention procedures on-site.
• Support training and awareness programs for site staff on environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate environmental considerations into daily operations.
• Investigate and report environmental incidents, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related scientific discipline
  .
• Previous experience in environmental inspection, EHS, or sustainability roles within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, risk management, and sustainability practices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
• Fluent in Italian, both written and spoken.
• Flexibility to work across office and site environments.
• Strong sense of responsibility, communication skills, and teamwork.

• Familiarity with ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
• Experience with health & safety (HSE) practices in addition to environmental compliance.
• Prior work experience with international contractors or large-scale infrastructure projects.
