We are seeking dedicated Caregivers to join our diverse teamin Elgin and be a part of our life-changing mission.Wehave flexible full-time, part-time and on-call shifts available with astarting base rate of$17.25/hr
(plus additionaldifferentials of $1 for night shift and $1 for weekends for AMs andPMs). The hourly rate for IHR/On-Call positions is $19.00 (plus additional differential of $1 for weekends). We are hiring immediately and offer paid training!
CNAs and DSPs are encouraged to apply. We provide free DSP training!

$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time positions ($1,000 paidafter 6 months and $1,000 paid after 1 year).

Who We Are:

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential,educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens andadults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With two residential locations – the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children andyoung adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on theautism spectrum.

In addition, our Community Day Services program ateach site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

You will make a difference in the lives of our residents who haveintellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the following ways:

• Assist with day program activities which include helping ensurethe residents have the opportunity to achieve their goals for the day
• Groom residents by brushing their hair, teeth and shaving
• Assist residents with bathing, incontinence and dressing
• Feed residents and document their food and liquid intake
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for our residents
• Assist residents with mobility needs, transferring them fromwheelchair to bed
• Communicate with the healthcare team
