PositionLecturers in Art:
The Department of the Art at California State University, Stanislaus is seeking applications to establish a pool of part‑time lecturers. Positions are available as determined by need and funding during Fall and Spring semesters. An eligibility roster of qualified part‑time faculty is being established to address potential future needs in the following Foundation Level studio areas: sculpture, drawing, painting, digital media, and printmaking.
Work is ongoing and applications are accepted year‑long; availability on very short notice is required as decisions are made on a term‑by‑term basis.
Minimum Qualifications- MFA in visual arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, video and time‑based media, and/or graphic design.
- Two years of college‑level teaching experience.

- (1) An application letter addressing the candidate’s qualifications.
- (2) CV including names, email addresses, addresses, and telephone numbers of three references.
- (3) Short statement of teaching philosophy.
- (4) Single PDF showing 20 images of the candidate’s own work (including medium, size, and year) and 20 images of prior students’ artwork.
- (6) Unofficial copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23‑campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package. Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range 2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. Salaries are prorated based on units assigned and paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
