Part‑Time Lecturer in Social Work
Position – The Department of Social Work invites applications for part‑time instructors who will teach graduate‑level courses in Social Work Practice or serve as faculty field liaison for Field Practicum courses.
Responsibilities- Teach graduate‑level courses in Social Work Practice.
- Serve as faculty field liaison for Field Practicum courses.
- Visit assigned students and field instructors, provide consultation and collaboration, review learning contracts.
- Assist in evaluating student performance and facilitate integrative field seminars bi‑weekly.
- Participate in student field orientations and field instructor training.
- Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree and a minimum of two years post‑MSW practice experience.
- Prior teaching or training experience.
- Experience and demonstrated competence working with a diverse group of people.
- Flexibility and control over personal schedule; required valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal transportation for field liaison assignments.
- Five years of post‑MSW practice experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Prior teaching experience at the college level.

CompensationCommensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary is prorated based on units and paid in six monthly payments per semester. Detailed salary schedules are available on the CSU system website.
