PositionLecturers in Art:
The Department of Art at California State University, Stanislaus is seeking applications to establish a pool of part‑time lecturers. Positions are available as determined by need and funding during Fall and Spring semesters. An eligibility roster of qualified part‑time faculty is being established to address potential future needs in the following Foundation Level studio areas: sculpture, drawing, painting, digital media, and printmaking.
This is an ongoing recruitment. We accept part‑time faculty applications all year long; when a need arises the department references the pool of applicants on file. The need is assessed on a term‑by‑term basis; applicants must be available on very short notice.
- Applicants must possess an MFA in visual arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, video and time‑based media, and/or graphic design.
- Two years of college‑level teaching experience.

- A complete application must include: (1) an application letter specifically addressing the candidate’s qualifications; (2) curriculum vitae including the names, email addresses, addresses, and telephone numbers of three references; (3) a short statement of teaching philosophy; (4) a single PDF showing 20 images of the candidate’s own work with information including medium, size and year and also 20 images of the artwork of prior students;

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23‑campus CSU system, we offer a competitive benefits package. Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others in Range 2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. Salaries are prorated based on units assigned and paid in six monthly payments each semester.
