Position: RN Perioperative Educator Full Time Rotate

RN Perioperative Educator Full Time Rotate Overview

Plans, implements, and evaluates Diabetes Services program. Maintains current knowledge of diabetes and CDE certification. Provides education to diabetic inpatients and outpatients. Provides staff education related to diabetes. Teaches clearly and effectively. Maintains program’s ADA recognition status, if applicable.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate diabetes education services for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Provide staff education related to diabetes management.
  • Maintain current knowledge of diabetes care standards and CDE certification requirements.
  • Ensure program compliance with ADA recognition status, if applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current CA Licensure as RN
  • BLS required
  • Certified Diabetes Educator strongly preferred (must obtain within a reasonable timeframe after hire if not currently a CDE)
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an RN
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Experience in program management in health-related field
  • Experience in care of people with diabetes
  • Possesses basic computer skills
  • Clear, professional, personable communication
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $49.69 - $77.02 hourly; individual wages determined by qualifications and experience
