Job Summary
Under the direction of the Cardiologist, Radiologist, Surgeon, or Director-CVS provides nursing support and nursing processes including patient assessment and intervention during Invasive Interventional Radiology and invasive Cardiac Cath Lab procedures. Provides direct patient care during the pre-procedural, intra-procedural, and post-procedural phases. Performs, and is responsible for a variety of nursing functions within the Cardiovascular Services (CVS) Department including invasive and non-invasive cardiology;
and patient holding areas. Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current State of California Registered Nurse License in Active status.
- Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification.
- Two (2) years minimum, recent experience (within previous 3 years) as an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab RN / or Interventional Radiology RN with hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred; or Two (2) years minimum experience as a Registered Nurse in critical care setting (ICU, CCU, ED) in an acute care hospital.
- CCRN Preferred
- Two (2) years minimum, recent conscious sedation experience preferred.
- Completion of basic 12-lead EKG class (completion date- prior to 60th day of employment) as required.
