Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mixed Equine GP / Small Animal Veterinarian to join our team. This is a unique, hybrid mixed practice role encompassing both Daytime Equine General Practice and Small Animal Emergency medicine
! The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

Ready for flexibility in your schedule and variety in your days? We can tailor caseload to your interests, as our goal is to restart equine services at this location, and could be up to 70/30 equine GP / small animal ER, with an option to transition into full time equine work as that side of the practice grows. Overnight small animal ER shifts are not required, but would be available if desired.

To support the rebuilding of the equine practice, we have an equine‑trained veterinary assistant ready to join you, and a clinic truck available for farm calls! There are also on‑site facilities for haul‑in equine patients.
Small animal ER mentorship is available for equine‑focused DVMs who are interested in a transition into mixed practice.
Equine‑focused veterinarians not interested in small animal work are encouraged to ask about the option of a Part‑Time equine‑only role!

We have a 24‑hour support staff in our 8,500 sq. ft. facility. Daily rounding and consultations with experienced veterinarians creates a team approach to challenging cases and provides a professionally rewarding experience for individuals that like to practice gold standard veterinary medicine. Looking for excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude to fit in with the family‑oriented environment at Taylor ER.
