General Summary & ScopeThe Task Associate (TA) is responsible for delivering operational excellence in support of sales drivers, the foundation for an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests. Tasks include keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining overall store cleanliness, and completing assigned responsibilities. The TA supports the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager through a focus on performance, people, and process. Attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures are required.
PrincipalDuties & Responsibilities
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s retail goals by ensuring tasks are executed on schedule and product is available for purchase.
- Meet compliance and execution goals related to the task dashboard and ensure timely completion of all operational processes, including shipment, replenishment, merchandise sets, inventory counts and procedures.
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
- Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
- Regularly participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education, to foster continuous professional development and drive sales performance.
- Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
- Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
- Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing using Ulta Beauty’s technology and best practices.
- Drive operational excellence by keeping assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensuring testers are available.
- Maintain outstanding store standards and cleanliness across sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area.
- Protect company assets by following loss‑prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
- Execute other operational tasks as directed.
- High school diploma preferred.
- One year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Proficient with basic technology, e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to problem‑solve.
Position Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule that may include early morning shifts, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
- Continuous mobility throughout the store during the shift.
- Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during the shift.
- Continuous or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs. during the shift.
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during the shift.
The pay range for this position is $16.90 – $21.50 per hour. Exact pay considers education, experience, certifications, level, shift, location, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime pay as required by law. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off and health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
