Position Title:
Direct Sales and Customer Service Representative
Reports to:
General Manager
This is a direct sales rep position that will be expected to work independently to sell and promote all company services across a designated territory. The job will earn new customers, expand existing customer services and gain back former customers. The role will serve as customer service for existing customers in an external and internal capacity. The position will maintain a daily sales log and support all aspects of business operations, including working with management, admin and drivers.
Must maintain confidentiality and professional attitude at all times. Requires computer skills.
- Cold call and visit potential customers, recording critical contact information (name, address, phone number, e‑mails) to be entered into a CRM system.
- New business development of the Rynocare, Sisk Recycling, and Koefran services, including best removal and disposal options.
- Represent the company’s services to potential customers and advise on how the products and services can increase revenues.
- Discover and handle concerns and complaints from existing customers.
- Develop new opportunities for products and services by collecting information and feedback from field activity and coordinate customer coverage with proper staff.
- Daily interaction with drivers and staff.
- Maintain a daily sales and miles log for accounting purposes.
- Make sales presentations, draft proposals and PowerPoint presentations, and present material to potential clients singularly or in groups.
- Demonstrate and aid in installing the company’s Oracle System software (BIS) at client facilities.
- Work with manager to write up proposals and secure signed contracts for committed new customers.
- Attend related seminars, trade shows, and staff‑sponsored events.
- Assist with rebranding efforts and competitive information documentation in CRM.
- Support the General Manager in all business operations including direct pickups and deliveries as needed.
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management, including sales efforts of other company services as requested.
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the pet or veterinary and medical waste industries.
- Proficiency in operating personal computers using Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and CRM systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, phone etiquette and customer relations.
