Position: Paul W. Bryant High Dual Enrollment Facilitator

Description

Dual Enrollment/ACCESS Monitor helps students and staff with dual enrollment and ACCESS courses.

Job Goal

Assist students and staff with dual enrollment and ACCESS courses.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 48 semester hours of credit from an accredited college and/or university or an associate’s degree from an accredited post‑secondary institution or a passing score on Work Keys.
  • Must meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. .
  • Experience in working with high school students.
  • Basic technology proficiency.
  • Basic record keeping for attendance/course management.
  • Other qualifications the Board may deem acceptable and appropriate.
  • Reports To

    Principal

    Supervises

    High School students participating in online learning

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Plan and organize effectively.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, administrators, teachers, and community in support of instruction.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Operate computer programs and related technology for school operations.
  • Knowledge of state and local policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student record information.
  • Physical mobility, dexterity, strength, and visual acuity to meet student needs, monitor and supervise students, and deal with student problems.
  • Essential Functions
  • Provide instructional assistance and encouragement to students to complete their assignments.
  • Daily monitor attendance, progress, pacing and performance.
  • Keep records and complete necessary reports for the program on a timely basis.
  • Communicate with post‑secondary institutions to provide support.
  • Confers with students individually and/or in groups to modify unacceptable behavior and emphasize positive skills.
  • Work with teachers, counselors, and school administrators to identify students in need of additional assistance.
  • Adhere to federal, state, local and board rules and regulations.
  • Takes leave time in accordance with Board policy and reports all absences to the district’s absence management system in a timely manner.
  • Reports to work on time and regularly as designated by work schedule.
  • Assumes other reasonable and equitable job‑related duties as assigned.
  • Terms of Employment

    The terms of employment shall be in accordance with provisions of the Board’s Policy Manual, Students First Act, and the Board’s Salary Schedule – Dual Enrollment/ACCESS Monitor.

    Evaluation

    Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
