SafeState Training Specialist

University of Alabama is hiring a Safe State Training Specialist - 530793 to run the UA Safe State occupational safety and health training programs, including OSHA Training Institute Education Center courses and OSHA Outreach Trainer activities. The specialist handles day-to-day operations for open-enrollment and contract training, conferences, and other noncredit professional development. The role also supervises Education Center staff and coordinates contracted instructors and student support.

• Run OSHA Training Institute Education Center courses and OSHA Outreach Trainer activities.
• Manage open-enrollment and contract training, conferences, and other noncredit professional development programs.
• Set operational priorities, assign and monitor work, and resolve routine program issues.
• Supervise OTI Education Center staff and coordinate contracted instructors, trainers, and student or temporary support.
• Review program records and course delivery for quality and compliance, and direct corrective action.
• Hold a master's degree plus safety training experience, or a bachelor's degree with 2 years, or an associate's degree with 4 years of safety training creation or facilitation experience.
• Know registration and course-management systems, documentation control, records management, and university financial, procurement, and travel processes.
• Prefer experience with Enrole, the OSHA Outreach Portal, and OSHA Training Institute Education Center programs.
• Offer a minimum salary of $54,000 with a $67,500 midpoint.
• Travel in and out of state as required.
