Apply for the Pharmacy Tech Inventory Clerk role at DCH Health System. The Pharmacy Inventory Clerk will manage the pharmacy’s inventory by receiving, stocking, rotating, and tracking medication and supplies. Responsibilities include monitoring waste, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining familiarity with medication formulary.

Receiving Order
  • Receives incoming pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and other pharmacy items; checks specifications and quantity for accuracy.
  • Links pharmacy orders to barcode in the EHR and automated dispensing systems for patient safety.
  • Reconciles packing slips/invoices for pricing and shipment accuracy; resolves discrepancies with wholesalers, manufacturers, or distributors.
  • Ensures separation of duties by matching purchase orders with packing slips and escalating mismatches.
Restocking Order
  • Distributes products to automated and non‑automated pharmacy areas after receipt.
  • Reviews inventory for accurate counts and correct stock rotation.
Inventory Management
  • Works with vendors to deliver medication and supplies to campus cost centers on time.
  • Assists the Inventory Specialist in recall processes, removing recalled products and segregating them.
  • Ensures compliance with DSCSA tracking and tracing rules.
  • Monitors stock for expiration dates and disposes of expired or out‑date items properly.
Purchasing
  • Assists purchasing in procurement of pharmaceuticals, IV fluids, medical supplies, and general supplies, ensuring contracted or lowest price offers.
Performance Improvement
  • Participates in department performance improvement activities, such as safety culture, employee engagement, and workflow or scheduling improvements.
DCH Standards
  • Maintain performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards per evaluation.
  • Perform compliance requirements outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to DCH Behavioral Standards for positive relationships and safety.

Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must receive Pharmacy Technician Certification within six months of hire.
  • Maintain minimum pharmacy technician competency.
  • Experience in inventory and purchasing preferred.
