Overview
Designs and maintains a reliable, secure, and efficient network environment. Able to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all wired and wireless equipment to ensure smooth network operation. Leads as a senior member on Technology team projects when called upon.
Responsibilities- Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards as outlined in evaluations.
- Follows compliance requirements as per the Employee Handbook.
- Adheres to DCH Behavioral Standards, fostering positive relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and self.
- Ensures safety of patients, visitors, and employees in all job functions.
- Identifies and mitigates unsafe practices to prevent harm.
- Acts to reduce risks and hazards to promote safety.
- Uses electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management systems, and intranet.
- Follows all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED required; associates, technical, or bachelor’s degree preferred. Industry-standard certifications in Wired and/or Wireless Networking required. Multiple IT Server and/or Networking certifications preferred. Experience in environments with 2000+ users is required.
Experience: 10 years of hands-on IT server/network support; 5 years in IT network design.
Skills: Advanced knowledge of Wireless Networking, Network Routing, Network Switching, OSPF, VOIP, and Network Security applications. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present formally. Effective interpersonal skills for dealing with all personnel levels. Strong troubleshooting skills, especially related to firewalls, routing, and WAN technology.
WORKING CONDITIONSMust be able to travel across all Health System facilities. Normal or corrected hearing and vision required. Able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations. On-call availability required.
This is an on-site position; remote work is not available. Physical demands include lifting up to 55 pounds, standing, walking, climbing ladders, pulling cables, drilling, and other mechanical tasks requiring motor skills. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and extend hands in various directions. Manual dexterity for data entry and handling hardware is necessary.
